It is with great honor that the Operative Plasterers' and Cement Masons' International Association formally endorses Clayton Brown for County Commissioner of the City of Ottawa, Illinois. He has been a proud member of the OPCMIA for over 15 years and has been a steadfast leader in the labor movement and especially being a pillar for his community to rely on.

On behalf of the OPCMIA’s nearly 50,000 members, I want to congratulate Rep. Hakeem Jeffries on being elected House Democratic Leader. We also congratulate Rep. Katherine Clark and Rep. Peter Aguilar on their elections as House Democratic Whip and House Democratic Caucus Chair, respectively.

The Operative Plasterers' and Cement Masons' International Association (OPCMIA) announces our enthusiastic endorsement of the Honorable Tim Ryan U.S. House of Representatives (OH-13th) for the U.S. Senate representing Ohio.

On behalf of the OPCMIA’s nearly 50,000 members, I want to express my gratitude to the 50 senators who passed the Inflation Reduction Act on Sunday.

The OPCMIA applauds enactment of the bipartisan CHIPS Act. It will create thousands of good-paying union US jobs, fight inflation, bolster our manufacturing & R&D capabilities, and strengthen our national security.

OPCMIA members and other workers who participate in multiemployer pension plans had their retirement security restored by President Biden on July 6th.

On behalf of the OPCMIA’s nearly 50,000 members, I want to congratulate Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson on her confirmation to the highest court in the land, and applaud the 53 U.S. Senators who voted to make her our next Supreme Court Justice.

The OPCMIA applauds President Biden for signing the reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act. We stand with all survivors of domestic violence and strongly support the strengthened protections in the new law.

After 232 years, the first Black woman has been nominated to the U.S. Supreme Court: Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson. Based on her record as a jurist and her past experience as a distinguished attorney, we are confident, she will bring a clear commitment to equal justice and fairness to the highest court in the land.
