The OPCMIA congratulates brother Larry Gorham of Kingsville, Missouri, a member of Local 518 in Kansas City, and his son Dalton on winning the Crappie Masters Truman Lake National Qualifier!
After finishing eighth on the first day of the tournament—and facing some of the best angling teams in the country—the Gorhams shot up to first place on day two after catching a 2.8 hybrid crappie, the biggest fish of the entire contest, with just 30 minutes left before the final whistle.
Their fishing brilliance earned them the $10,000 winner’s prize, plus a $2,000 CarZone USA Big Fish Bonus for their biggest catch, along with a $500 Beatdown Outdoors bonus and $500 from the Jellison Group for using an action camera on their boat. This was the first time Larry and Dalton had won a Crappie Masters National title.
