Last June, as the COVID pandemic caused a sharp rise in hunger and food insecurity, former OPCMIA Office Manager Nick Scholz, a Deacon at the Shrine of St. Jude Catholic Church in Rockville, Md., asked his union to support his church’s St. Stephen’s Food Pantry.

Steel Edge Woman Stars on “Tough As Nails”

Liz Nichols, a proud member of OPCMIA Local 555 in Portland, Oregon, stars in the CBS reality series “Tough As Nails,” premiering on February 10th. A native of Waltham, Massachusetts with seven years of experience as an OPCMIA cement mason, Liz is a union activist and serves on Local 555’s Executive Board.
