RC Roberts Sr., Corporal, United States Army

RC Roberts is a WWII veteran. He fought on D-Day, The Invasion of Normandy on June 6, 1944, at the age of 21. He was a corporal and a marksmen and was awarded 3 brown battle stars for his service. On February 14, RC turned 100 years old. After the military he became a cement mason and moved to Alaska to help rebuild after the 1964 earthquake. He called Alaska home for over 50 years and recently relocated to Columbia, SC, to live with family. He was awarded the highest military honor for the state of Alaska by Senator Dan Sullivan and RC’s military service was addressed on the house floor in front of President Biden. RC is a true war hero!
