On this 243rd birthday of the USA, the OPCMIA celebrates our freedom — what makes America truly great.
Thanks to the wisdom of our founding fathers, we have the freedom of speech — to express our opinions without fear of prosecution or persecution. Thanks to the wisdom of our founding fathers, we have the freedom of assembly — to gather together as union, to picket, to march, to hold rallies, to make our wishes known. Thanks to the wisdom of our founding fathers, we have the freedom to petition our elected officials for redress — and to apply these same democratic principles to our workplaces. All of which, together, makes it possible for our members to empower themselves to build better lives through collective bargaining.
