Hi! My name is Citlalli Lopez-Barragan, and I graduated from Laguna Creek High School in Elk Grove, CA. Next fall, I will be studying health science at Sacramento State University, with the goal of becoming a nurse. During my senior year, I had the opportunity to take a medical assistant class, which introduced me to the healthcare field. Although the course provided only a small glimpse into the healthcare industry, I enjoyed every aspect of it. I began researching various healthcare careers, and that is when I discovered my passion for nursing. In my spare time, I enjoy cooking and hiking. I am also bilingual, fluent in both English and Spanish. I am truly honored to be selected as a recipient and appreciate the support of OPCMIA in helping me pursue my academic and career goals!
