My name is Jazmin I. Dueñas-Ibarra, and I am currently on track for a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences with a Forensic Concentration at CSU East Bay. I am the daughter of Rogelio Dueñas, a proud Cement Mason at Local 400 union worker of 6 years. I would love to thank the OPCMIA Patrick D. Finley Scholarship committee for electing me as a recipient for this year’s scholarship. When I graduated high school in 2020, I had no clue as to what the future held for me, but I am proud to say that I have found my path in the world at CSU East Bay. I am forever grateful for this scholarship as it will immensely alleviate a huge financial stress for the upcoming school year. Once again, thank you so much! Best wishes to all!
