Brooklynn Porter is an undergraduate at San Jose State University and is majoring in psychology. Brooklynn received an associate’s degree in psychology from Yuba Community College. Outside of academics, he works as both a paraeducator at the local elementary schools and as a respite care worker. Brooklynn has a long history of working with people with disabilities due to previous employment as a behavior technician for an Applied Behavior Analysis clinic. Brooklynn is also working on ASL fluency to aid children and to build community. Brooklynn aims to continue to work with youth with disabilities by furthering his education. For now, he occupies his time with activism, art, and community. After graduation, he plans on going back to school for a master’s degree. Brooklynn aspires to be a school Occupational Therapist or a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst for youth with his own practice.
