Infrastructure: Let’s Get it Done

Both parties should be able to unite for a great rebuilding of America’s crumbling infrastructure. I know that Congress is eager to pass an infrastructure bill — and I am eager to work with you on legislation to deliver new and important infrastructure investment, including investments in the cutting edge industries of the future. This is not an option. This is a necessity.

— Donald Trump, 2019 State of the Union Address

President Trump, we couldn’t agree more!

Our nation’s infrastructure is falling apart. Every day, month and year that we delay needed investments, we worsen the nation’s economy and threaten the safety of the traveling public. Our members are ready to fix our highways, roads, bridges, dams, airports, schools and buildings. All we need is for our elected officials to come together and provide the needed funding.

President Trump promised during the campaign to invest $1 trillion in our infrastructure. Two years later, it’s past time to fulfill that promise — and to do it with real money, rather than vague promises about leverage. Democrats have also pledged massive infrastructure improvements. There is nothing partisan about this issue. Everyone, rich and poor, business and labor, liberal and conservative, benefits from a strong infrastructure.

And when it comes to the nation’s budget priorities, what could possibly be more important? A great nation requires a great infrastructure!

On behalf of every proud OPCMIA member, I pledge that we will work with any and every elected official committed to truly revitalizing our infrastructure. Let’s get the job done!
