The Operative Plasterers’ and Cement Masons’ International Association (OPCMIA) announces our enthusiastic endorsement of Rep. Conor Lamb for U.S. Senate representing the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Conor has been a steadfast ally of the labor movement and all of the Keystone state’s working men and women. Whenever the opportunity arises to improve the lives of working families, he leads the charge. We are honored to have such an ally working to advance worker’s rights in Congress and always willing to go the extra mile.
Through his three years in the U.S. House of Representatives, he’s consistently championed legislation to benefit working people and fortify the middle class. He has voted and led the fight for numerous pro-worker bills such as the National Apprenticeship Act and the Protecting the Right to Organize (PRO) Act that will strengthen organized labor across the country and, once passed in the Senate, will help restore and strengthen American’s middle class.
Conor Lamb is the right choice to represent Pennsylvania in the United States Senate. He has won three elections in a district Donald Trump carried by 20 points in 2016, demonstrating he has what it takes to build the electoral coalition necessary to win statewide, and his performance in office has shown him to be the kind of forceful, principled, courageous leader my fellow Pennsylvanians need. He shares our values, and he is on our side. The OPCMIA as a whole, and our members in Pennsylvania in particular, will do everything in our power to help elect Conor Lamb Pennsylvania’s next U.S. Senator, and we look forward to continuing to build a stronger workforce and a country together.
