The OPCMIA is proud to support Concrete Cares, a volunteer group working to fight cancer on the local level — “one yard at a time.”

OPCMIA General President Daniel E. Stepano recently joined with Concrete Cares at the 2020 World of Concrete exposition in Las Vegas to support families and children facing the daily challenges of cancer in their lives. We were even able to give Austin, a young cancer survivor, the opportunity to use virtual reality to drive a concrete rider and spray fireproofing. As you’ll see in the video below, he had a blast!

Concrete Cares helps families, through donations and sponsorships, with rent, mortgages, utilities, car payments and other expenses as they struggle with cancer, so they can focus their energies on fighting back against the disease. Importantly, it provides friends, co-workers, union brothers and sisters, and others with the opportunity to help. Signed banners and proceeds are presented to a local family selected by community members.
