Marissa Goodsky is a concrete mason apprentice and member of OPCMIA Local 633 in Roseville, Minn., who was recently interviewed in The New York Times.

A member of the Bois Forte Band of Chippewa, she joined a three-month training program for cement masons held at the Local 633 JATC Training Center in New Brighton, Minn., thanks to a partnership of the Bois Forte Tribal Employment Rights Organization, Minnesota Department of Transportation and Local 633. After graduation, she started her apprenticeship. This summer, she’ll finish and become a journeyman.

Marissa loves working with her crew and is looking forward to a long, rewarding career as a trowel trades craftswoman. We are proud to count Marissa as one of OPCMIA’s finest!
