Act Now!
The OPCMIA’s world-class apprenticeship programs remain under attack.
Last year, when the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) proposed allowing substandard IRAPs in the construction industry, more than 300,000 members of the OPCMIA and the other building trades unions sent letters opposing this misguided plan.
Unfortunately, that apprenticeship-killing, good job-killing scheme is still very much alive, being pushed by anti-union contractors and anti-worker politicians. In fact, the DOL has sent its proposal to the White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs for review in what could be the final step before its implementation.
That’s why we need you to act now!
Even if you sent a letter to DOL last year, we need you to write again — this time to the President of the United States. And we’ve made it easy for you do so.
Just go to our special website, www.saveopcmiaapprenticeships.org.
Fill in the form at the bottom of the page and click “send.”
It will take just a minute or two of your time to raise your voice and tell the Administration to save our apprenticeship programs.
The future of our craft, our union, and our industry hangs in the balance.
Thank you.
